In the heart of the downtown Toronto lies a two acre lot that houses a private setting backing on to the Don Valley. This project was faced with the duality of creating formal areas while addressing environmental concerns enforced by conservation authority.

The original design was created to build a formal perimeter around the elegance of the main residence and transitions into the land to harmoniously blend with the surrounding nature. Landscape lighting was integral part of this project to lighten the space and enjoy gardens at any time, making the property perfect for entertaining. Cobblestone courtyards were incorporated in the layout to give the main entranceway a traditional influence and maintain its formality.

Parking was a major concern for clients due to frequent entertaining. Additional space was created to take this into consideration. Flagstone were added to create a stately appearance throughout and tumble stone paver were used to create a progression into surrounding gardens. A concrete spa with terrace was installed to be accessible year round.
